Mesilla Valley Transportation is now hiring a Local Pick-Up & Delivery (P&D) Planner for the night schedule in El Paso, TX!!!</strong><br><br>A <strong>Local Pick-Up & Delivery Planner </strong>is responsible for planning trucks to service contract customer freight and ensure optimal equipment utilization. They will work together with Operations teams to ensure on-time service is met per customers' expectations.<br> <br><strong> Schedule: </strong><br> <br>Sunday-Tuesday 6am-6pm; Wednesday 12pm-6pm<br> <br><strong>Responsibilities:</strong><ul> <li>Plans pick up and deliveries for local drivers. </li> <li>Monitors drivers to ensure pick-up and deliveries are done on time. </li> <li>Communicates with Customer Service Team on any delays or issues. </li> <li>Provides input on available capacity to authorize T-calls.  </li> <li>Forecasts upcoming challenges for the next day and advises second shift of pending issues. </li> </ul><strong>Qualifications:</strong><ul> <li>Minimum of 1 year of experience in logistics with moderate knowledge of Motor Carrier Operations and Geography.</li> <li>Apply knowledge of Motor Carrier Resources to meet company, customer, and driver needs.</li> <li>Moderate knowledge of North American Supply Chain Network and Operations.</li> <li>Competent user of MS Office.</li> <li>Excellent customer service skills. </li> <li>Excellent communication skills. </li> <li>Excellent problem-solving skills. </li> <li>Ability to multitask and meet deadlines. </li> </ul>Mesilla Valley Transportation began in 1982 as a small independent fleet in the Southwest.
